Coach moves into the effort meter
The conversation coach is now always visible in the meter, with a tighter persona switcher and short-term memory across turns.
A few changes landed on the Speak page this week.
Coach is always visible. Instead of being tucked behind a "show coach" toggle, the coach's follow-up question now sits inline in the effort meter — right where the generic blurb used to be. The idea is that you should never have to dig for it; it's already there, ready to keep the conversation going.
Tighter persona switcher. The persona row collapsed into a small vertical stack of three — Friend, Grumpy, Parent — directly to the left of the phrase. Tap one to swap voices. Less chrome, more focus on what the coach actually said.
Short-term memory. The coach now remembers the last few turns and the last couple of questions it asked, so it can build on the thread instead of looping back to the same prompt twice in a row. If you said something interesting two turns ago, the coach can pick it up.
Auto-refresh toggle. Off by default — to be respectful of token budgets — but flip it on and the coach updates after every turn without needing a tap.
If anything feels off, let us know.
